Penny is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and sees clients across all age groups, from paediatrics through to aged care. Penny also consults in the field of bariatric surgery, working alongside 2 Upper GI surgeons who specialise in surgical weight loss interventions, primarily gastric sleeve surgery. Having lost 24kg prior to commencing her dietetic studies, Penny has personal insight into the difficulties of weight management and is therefore empathetic to the challenges of weight loss and weight maintenance.
Most of Penny’s early career was spent working as a paediatric dietitian at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick. Whilst at Randwick (2013-2017) Penny worked with the endocrine, general medical, general surgical, neurology, allergy and immunology and oncology teams. She also worked in the general nutrition clinic seeing paediatric patients with growth faltering, nutrient deficiencies, food allergies and enteral feeds.
Penny has also written for Healthy Food Guide magazine and particularly enjoys the challenge of providing healthful, nutritious meal ideas without the need for difficult to find and over-hyped ingredients. With a young family herself Penny understands the hectic life of being a mum of 2 while still dedicated to her own chosen career.
