The practice was opened in 1996 by Dr Stephen Thornley and has rapidly expanded to service the residents of Southern Sydney, the Illawarra and adjoining regions. He regularly attends the American Endocrine Society Conference, the American Diabetes Association Conference, the European Association for the study of Diabetes Conference as well as the conferences on the prevention of diabetes, gestational diabetes and endocrine disorders in pregnancy. He has pioneered the use of electronic communication platforms to enhance availability and accessibility for patients to adjust their therapies.
